Company History and Goals
T&J Incorporated was founded in
1980, by Tony and Judi Miniea. The company is a third generation
in the machinery industry. One of Tony's grandfather's was Comptroller
for International Harvester, another was a tool and die maker. Tony's
father, Sam Miniea, was also a tool and die maker, owning both a
fab shop, tool and die shop, precision die casting company and machinery
business selling new and used machines, prior to his retirement.
Tony was educated at the University of Miami,
where he majored in finance and management. He graduated with a
BA in Business. Directly out of college Tony went to work for Federated
department Stores and subsequently Allied Stores, where he held
a variety of positions including department manager, buyer, divisional
merchandise manager, and at the age of 29 was promoted to store
manager, in charge of 650 employees.
In 1980, utilizing his retailing experience he
started T&J Incorporated. He applied his philosophies of quality,
buying , selling, and turnover to his used machinery business.
At this time in our history technological advances
are happening rapidly. T&J operates with the premise that we give
the customer what they need in the most efficient way, with the
best customer service. Productivity (i.e. per hour and per dollar
spent), is key in manufacturing as well as machinery sales success.
We practice what we preach. T&J operates with the latest computer,
internet, and telephone technologies. We have de-centralized warehousing,
we store our equipment in nine locations in North America, closest
to the point of purchase so that there is no wasted expense. We
operate with more variable costs that enhance specific machine value
and less fixed costs that need to be underwritten with increased
prices. We try each day to develop new ways to increase value at
lower prices. Turnover is most important to us. We want to have
the machinery our customers want at the price they would like to
pay. We keep our expenses down in order to give you the best machinery
at the lowest price, while still giving you the highest level of
service and quality.
If a machine is not selling we reduce the price
until it does. Our knowledge of customers requirement and our higher
productivity/lower overhead enable us to buy for more and sell for
less.
When you call T&J you get a live, knowledgeable,
interested person on the other end. T&J Incorporated's primary goal
is to give the best personal service possible, in assisting you
with your equipment needs. We are still working with many customers
who have been with us all these years. They keep coming back because
they know we care and they are satisfied with the results/equipment.
We are helping customers define their requirements and then satisfy
their machinery needs. We do this instead of selling them whatever
machinery is available.
It was once said that "we are each day trying
to fill in on an infinite assortment of machines, satisfy 100% of
the customers requirements and sell out before the end of the day
without any compromise of our standards!
